One way that educators can increase student engagement is with a flipped classroom. The flipped classroom, or flipped learning, is an inversion of how we typically communicate content to students. A flipped classroom can enrich student learning and make the classroom a site for extensive inquiry-based learning. This session will explore the philosophical underpinnings of the flipped learning model, and will highlight strategies that can help participants adopt a flipped model for their own classes.
