Prof. Massimo Ciavolella talks about love, melancholy, genius, art and Renaissance. Indeed, a disease can be an inspiration; a passion can be a destiny, too. This address, conjointly organized by historians of the book, scholars of  book culture, bibliographers, Renaissance scholars and medievalists illuminates our representations and  dreams.

Speaker: Massimo Ciavolella, Franklin D. Murphy Chair in Italian Renaissance Studies and the Director of the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
